AsteriskNow - Asterisk 1.4 to Asterisk 1.6 upgrade

The following process can be used to upgrade the default Asterisk 1.4 install in AsteriskNOW (version 1.5/1.7) to Asterisk 1.6.

On the command-line, enter:

yum shell

Within the yum shell, enter:

install asterisk16-core asterisk16
remove asterisk14 asterisk14-core asterisk-sounds-core-en-ulaw
ts solve
ts run
remove asterisk14-core
ts solve
ts run

 

As long as there are no dependency problems, the upgrade should complete.  Restart Asterisk or reboot the server afterward.
